What the Limited Warranty Covers
- All internal engine parts: pistons, piston rings, piston pins, crankshaft and main bearings, connecting rods and rod bearings, camshaft and camshaft bearings, timing chain and timing gears, intake and exhaust valves, valve springs, seals, guides, oil pump, push rods, rocker arms and shafts.
- The engine block, cylinder walls and cylinder head, against deep cracks or distortion that would stop the engine from operating as the manufacturer intended.
Revive Motors Transmissions may service or repair a unit before sale, using remanufactured or serviceable used parts, or exchange the unit when necessary.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
- All external parts attached to the engine, for example intake and exhaust manifolds, carburetors, distributor, starter, emission control devices, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate, water pump, thermostat, belts, hoses, oil pan, valve cover, sensors, electronic parts (distributor, wires, computers, injectors, etc.), drive shafts, engine mounts, half shafts and turbo(s).
- Revive Motors Transmissions may refuse any claim for a used engine that seizes, loses critical compression or suffers another catastrophic failure during the warranty period because of negligence by the customer or the customer's mechanic.
- If the engine was installed by a certified mechanic, it is the mechanic's responsibility to make sure it is in good condition before releasing the vehicle to the customer. Installation other than by a certified mechanic or registered professional may void the warranty, at Revive Motors Transmissions's discretion.
Used engines should be monitored closely during the first 80 to 160 km (50 to 100 miles) after installation to make sure all components are working properly. Professional installation is always recommended, and every warranty claim needs a valid mechanic's report.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Email sales@revivemotortrans.ca a written description of the problem with photos and videos, from a certified mechanic.
- Include a copy of the mechanic's certification and contact information. We may contact the mechanic to confirm the documents.
- We then decide whether to refund the damaged part(s) or ask for the unit to be returned for a replacement. A returned unit must be complete; any missing parts are removed from the replacement before it ships.
Revive Motors Transmissions may change or update this warranty at any time without prior notice. Nothing in this warranty limits your rights under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act or other applicable Canadian law.
